Geek fun in Dublin

Weather is very nice here in Dublin. Attended the first two days of tutorials. Great Maven 2 tutorial.

Had a great dinner with Jim, Jason and Angela, Peter and Christine. Steak at a restaurant just down the street from the Burlington. Good food, good company.

Keynote today on the next 5 years of Free Software. Very good speaker...informative, down to earth and funny. Learned a lot about the Apache Software Foundation (ASF). Not much I am interested in until this afternoon: Subversion best practices and Cross Site Scripting (XSS). TO bad they are both at the same time.


Skype is working like a charm! Have called back to the states several times. Quality is very good. A little lag but.....I am across the pond so....:)

Preping for Ireland!

Two more weeks until I am off to ApacheCon for a week in Dublin, Ireland.
Just need to get a power converter so I can remain a mobile warrior and make reservations for the first and last days.
